We’re Kelsie and Andy, a couple who met online and quickly bonded over our shared love of fitness, healthy living, and spending time in nature. Nearly five years of marriage (and one amazing son, Madden) later, those passions have only grown stronger — now shaping both our family life and our mission at Inside Out Fitness.

 

In her early college years, Kelsie faced significant challenges with body dysmorphia and disordered eating and exercise patterns, clinically known as anorexia athletica. Discovering bodybuilding was a turning point, allowing her to channel those tendencies into healthier habits. Over six years of dedication, she earned her pro card in a natural federation. Now, no longer actively competing, Kelsie focuses on guiding others toward sustainable and balanced fitness journeys. Today, she's found true harmony in mindset, nutrition, and exercise, and feels more confident than ever before.

 

Andy’s story is one of redemption and purpose. After overcoming alcohol abuse, depression, and drug misuse, he transformed his life through fitness — losing body fat, building strength, and finding a deep sense of meaning in health. Now a certified trainer, he’s passionate about helping other men — especially fathers and outdoorsmen — take control of their health and become strong role models for their families.

 

Together, we believe fitness is about so much more than aesthetics — it’s about building strength, confidence, and balance from the inside out. We call South Dakota home, and when we’re not coaching, you’ll find us hiking, hitting the gym together, trying new restaurants, traveling, playing board games, or chasing our puppy around the backyard with Madden.
